Over the past 10 years, she has sold over 1 million tickets, and recently moved to a much larger theater on the Vegas strip to accommodate her growing audiences. Born in Miami Beach, Florida, Rudner moved to New York at the age of 15, and immediately was cast in several very successful Broadway shows. While performing on Broadway, Rudner started to visit comedy clubs around Manhattan, building up a great appreciation for stand-up comedy. It was not until the age of 25 that Rita Rudner decided to fulfill her dream of becoming a stand-up comedian.
One of her biggest breaks prior to landing on the Las Vegas show circuit, was appearing numerous times on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Carson was a huge fan of Rudner, who’s dry wit and hilarious one-liners reminded him of a young Phyllis Diller. Rudner is very popular, and her stand-up routine on the Vegas strip is one of the best Vegas deals in the city. Rita Rudner went on to win a Gracie Allen Award from the American Women in Television and Radio. Rudner is the author of the best-selling I Still Have It; I Just Can't Remember Where I Put It, Naked Beneath My Clothes, as well as the novel Tickled Pink. In 2009, Rudner performed for Senator Harry Reid and President Obama at Caesars Palace alongside Bette Midler and Sheryl Crow.
